Welcome to Make Believe. By accessing or using our mobile application and website (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using Make Believe, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a minor, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian and accept these Terms on their behalf.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. The app may be used by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) — see our Children's Privacy Policy.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account
- You are responsible for all activity under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of all photos you upload to Make Believe. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to:
- Process your photos to generate coloring pages
- Store your content to provide the Service
- Create printed products you order
We do not claim ownership of your content. We do not use your photos for advertising, training AI models, or any purpose other than providing the Service to you.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Upload content that infringes on others' intellectual property rights
- Upload illegal, harmful, or inappropriate content
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or circumvent the Service
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Share your account credentials with others
6. Purchases & Payments
- Printed book orders are processed through our secure payment provider
- Prices are displayed in the app at the time of purchase and include applicable taxes
- All purchases are final once a book has been sent to print
- If there is a defect in your printed product, contact support@makebelieveapp.com for a replacement
7. Free Features
The app is free to download and use. Creating coloring pages and sharing digital galleries are free features. Printing and ordering physical books are paid services.
8. Intellectual Property
The Make Believe app, website, branding, and AI technology are owned by Make Believe and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from harmful components.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Make Believe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Sweden, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
13. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Social Platform Integrations
Make Believe operates an internal operator console that MakeBelieve staff use to publish content on our behalf via the Meta platform (Facebook Pages, Instagram Business, Threads) and Pinterest v5 API. Use of these integrations is subject to the terms of the respective platforms (Meta Platform Terms, Pinterest API Terms) in addition to these Terms. We use these integrations solely to publish content from the MakeBelieve-owned accounts; we do not access or store end-user data from these platforms.
